The Alt Empordà is a land of dolmens. Throughout the region there are about fifty of these megalithic tombs erected between 3,500 and 1,800 BC. Most of these buildings are in the mountains of the Albera.

The current vineyard designation of origin are mostly old implementation, with vines more than 30 years old, which is very positive from the point of view of the quality of the final product, as it is known fact that the vines ancient produce high quality wine.

Saw the Albera spans the eastern section of the Pyrenees, from the neck to the Mediterranean Pertús. It is an area of natural and scenic interest of the highest order, with areas of lush vegetation, ancient and diverse, ancient buildings and human remains.

The effect of the north wind has made appear capricious forms of erosion and has transformed the landscape in a very special way.
